Week 7 of didactics of English I

Week 7 - Review

During this week we learned about the collaborative approach method.

We do an activity in groups where we meet to discuss different topics of our current society, the focus of this activity is to share opinions, comments, or ideas, with the level we have in the foreign language, this helps us to express opinions, listen and above all gain confidence in ourselves, in the activity there is also a person who takes note of our conversation.

The topics we discussed are:

  • France legalized abortion yesterday as a human right, do you agree or disagree?
  • Either monarchy or dictatorship is the best way to lead a country
  • Gender ideology is not the same as sexual education; therefore, it must be erased from the education system. 
Collaborative approach

1- Community lenguaje learning. 
  • The develop fluency. 
  • No extensive preparations are needed. 
  • From a conversation, you can identify something.to teach later.

2- Task-based teaching.
  • Planning is crucial.
  • Groupwork evolves into teamwork.
  • A well-crafted project is a must.
3- Content-based teaching.  
  • Learning a foreign language by studying content (Science, social studies, math, geography)

Week 13 of didactics of English

Week 13 - Review  April 23 / 25 During this week we finished with presentations about different intelligences, and we did an exam. The ninth group talked about the topic of Existential intelligence  is also called spiritual or transcendental intelligence and refers to the facet of human beings that leads them to delve into existential aspects such as who we are, what is the purpose of life, what happens after death, etc. The next group talked about the topic of  Verbal - Linguistic   Intelligence ,  which they explained very well, and it was really enjoyable because their activity to understand the topic was very entertaining. The last group talked about  Mathematical   Intelligence - Logic, this a very complicated topic, because it is not only about remembering but using logic. thank you for being here :D
